Puntland Diaspora Conference
We, the members of Puntland Diaspora, invited by the Puntland Development Research Center (PDRC) to the Conference entitled “The Future of Puntland: A Diaspora/Civil society Consultative Conference”, originally scheduled to be held in Garowe, Puntland State of Somalia from the 13th to the 20th of August 2008, would like to take this opportunity to thank PDRC, Interpeace and the European Commission for their excellent idea, professional organization and generous funding of the Project. The preparation of this conference took a lot of efforts, time and resources to bring the members of the Diaspora from all over the world. We greatly appreciate this timely and valuable cooperation.

Youth Day in Galkayo

 15 May 2007 Is the occasion of the Somali Youth Day, a ceremony commemorating the day was held at the governor’s premises in Galkayo. Since 1943, 15 May was marked the day when 13 Youth members established Somali Youth League (SYL).

PDRC/Saferworld –March 20th – 22nd 2007
From 20th to 22nd March 2007, a capacity building training workshop for Non-State Actor’s (NSA) Working Group (WG) Members was held in Garowe at PDRC’s Main Conference Hall. This three-day Training Workshop was jointly organized by PDRC and Saferworld (SW), an International NGO based in Britain.
